Arrive in Chile's capital this morning to meet your guide at the airport. As you travel into the city, you will start to get to know something of the city through the eyes of a local. This introduction will continue on foot, but the pace and content is very much set by you. So if you feel yourselves flagging, you can rest up instead. 

Because your hotel is so well located, you will start and end your visit on foot. There is a small park on a hill, Santa Lucía, right next to your hotel, or if you want a really grand view across to the Andes, head up the nearby Cerro San Cristobal. 

By this evening you might just be ready for dinner in the hotel's very good restaurant, or walk the short distance to the pedestrianised foodie hotspot of Lastarria to soak up the city's atmosphere.
