Chilean Wine Valleys to Valparaíso
Day 4
Maule Valley
Explore by bike and on foot, or sit back and soak in the views on the slow train out towards the Pacific coast.

There are plenty of ways to explore today.

For something active, you can take bikes to ride around the estate, or just head out for a walk - it's all very much here for you to enjoy at your own pace.

Another option is hop in the car and see something of the area itself. One such option would be to take the old-fashioned train to the coast. Called the BusCarril, it really is a local bus on rails which follows the Maule River from the town of Talca to the pretty coastal town of Constitución.

The train travels a route where there are no roads, so priority is given to locals getting on board. But most days should be fine. It is also one of only three train lines in the country. You need to leave early to get to Talca in time for the morning train - about 06:00 should get you there in plenty of time. It's a gentle, and slow, three hours to the coast, just 88km away.
