Although we can add a formal winery tour into your day, we rather assume that you prefer tasting the wines to looking at the barrels. On this basis, you spend today walking in the hills, tasting a few wines and will then enjoy a long and leisurely lunch looking out over the vines.
Your first stop is Apalta, a spur off the main Colchagua Valley and home to some of the finest of Chile's wineries. Here you are led on a guided walk to look out over the dramatic half-moon valley formed by the Tinguiririca River flowing between the Andes and the coastal mountains.
You then move to another winery for a long lunch during which you taste some of their vintages.
