You are in the company of your hiking guide today. You have a choice of walks in the mountains, from easy to challenging. You simply discuss the best options with your guide before heading out.
For an easier route, you can leave your hotel directly on foot to take up a circuit through the surrounding hills between hermitages.
A moderate option is to enter the national park and hike around the beautiful high alpine landscapes of the Rius Lakes.
For a challenging hike, your guide can take you to the summit of the Pic de Vallibierna at 3,067m. It’s actually a relatively simple walk, a 12km loop via the glacial lakes (known locally as ibones) before climbing up to the peak itself - the return is via a steep slope so this isn’t a walk for everyone but it’s always amazing to be on top of a 3,000m peak!
Whichever level of exertion you choose, you'll have time to relax when you get back to your hotel. Perhaps with a soak in the small plunge pool.
