The monastery of Sant Pere de Rodes in the Cap de Creus Natural Park.
Núria, co-owner of Mas Estela winery
The monastery of Sant Pere de Rodes is a medieval ruin perched dramatically on high mountains looking out to sea. Leaving your car in the nearby town of Port de la Selva, take a taxi up to the monastery for a visit before walking a scenic 6km walk back to your car.

This route leads through pretty villages, past small vineyards and orchards before emerging on the coastal promenade of Port de la Selva, ideal for lunch by the sea.

It's a short drive to a wonderful family-run winery where you have a private tour. The scenery is something else, with the old vines nestled into the mountainside. Everything is 100% organic and done with the utmost care and respect for the environment. The wines are fantastic, enhanced as they are by the great company, beautiful views and the relaxed nature of it all.
