At the easternmost point of mainland Spain lies the Cap de Creus Natural Park.
This rugged landscape is the point where the Pyrenees mountains submerge into the Mediterranean. The coastline is a nearly unbroken series of sheer rock cliffs dropping down to clear blue-green waters, interrupted with occasional fishing villages, innumerable coves and tiny beaches on narrow inlets. Many of the wind-eroded rock formations are strangely familiar from Salvador Dalí’s paintings.
This morning you can take an electric taxi to the lighthouse at the cape. From here you follow a path along a series of coves, over headlands and past olive groves to Dalí’s house at Port Lligat.
Having stopped for a visit to Dalí's house and to enjoy the stunning views from the garden, it’s a short walk back to Cadaqués. There are various places en route for you to enjoy a dip in the sea if the water is inviting.
This evening you have one more highlight to look forward to: a special tasting menu at a renowned local restaurant run by three chefs who met during their stint at the legendary El Bulli restaurant. ¡que aproveche!
